L'altro giorno ho scritto alla casa editrice Einaudi chiedendo quando fosse prevista l'uscita di Kafka sulla spiaggia di Haruki Murakami. Stamattina mi hanno risposto così: il libro è in uscita mel mese di marzo 2008... speriamo!
Stamattina invece ho contattato la Piemme per sapere per quando è prevista la pubblicazione di Coronado di Dennis Lehane... aspetto trepidante la risposta! Sto poi aspettando che esca in italia il film tratto da Gone, Baby, Gone (La casa buia) che negli USA è già uscito e IMDb gli appioppa un bel 8.2! Sembra poi che un tal Martin Scorsese faccia il film tratto da Shutter Island (L'isola della paura) e visto il talento di Martin e visto il libro mi aspetto almeno un capolavoro! Un altro film verrà tratto dal racconto Until Gwen! E per finire le novità letterarie: su Wikipedia ho trovato questo: Lehane is reportedly working on an historical novel - described as "a five or six year project" - that begins in 1918 and encompasses the 1919 Boston Police Strike and its aftermath. According to Lehane, "The strike changed everything... It had a big effect on the unionization movement, and Prohibition came on the heels of that, then Calvin Coolidge promising to break the unions. That's all linked to what's going on now.". While Lehane's epic novel would center on the 1919 Boston police strike, it will contain a national sweep and might be the first of a trilogy or perhaps a four-book series. Lehane has called the novel his "great white whale" and has said that when he finally finishes it, he will "either write a sequel—or take a break from the cops and return to Patrick and Angie." The book is reportedly titled The Given Day (tra l'altro al recente Festivaletteratura di Mantova rispondendo a una domanda ha detto che ci lavora da 4 anni!)
